Ordinarily, professional development for faculty and staff at OLMC School consists of reading and discussing how to teach great works of literature, history, or theology. Today, our training was devoted to developing skills we hope never to use, but don’t want to imagine not being prepared to employ.
OLMC faculty and staff worked with officers from the Boonton Police Department and EMTs on First Aid Crisis Management this afternoon. It was a sobering and instructive session, and we all left more confident to respond to the kind of emergency we don’t ever want to have to confront.
Special thanks to the very fine officers of the Boonton Police Department for their dedication and quality instruction. We look forward to working with them more in the near future to continue to hone our crisis management preparations!
